Why Ads Fail
There are many reasons an ad might fail from the offer, product, price, or medium used. But if you have all of the above in order through testing and/or trial and error you might need to analyze your ads.

Always refer to the strength of the ARM:

  • Attention: Did you get the readers' attention, and how might that have been done better?

  • Retention: Did you retain their interest through meaningful BENEFITS, and how might these have been enhanced?

  • Motivation: Did your offer motivate the readers to act the way you had expected, and how can you improve the offer?

Keep records of your ads: where they ran, date/day of week, and response (if possible). Ask customers their opinions of ads. Take the information you learn and go with the ads that are most cost-effective.
