Web Photos for Printing

Helpful HINT: Using web photos
With the internet, it's so easy to grab a photo from a site and plop it into a design. However web graphics are usually in formats like "gif" or "jpg." To keep the files small it compresses the color and resolution, which causes color shifts and blurriness. The resolution of a web image is usually 72 dpi and an appropriate image for printing should be 300 dpi! So if you are going to shrink an image it might look fine but trying to enlarge a web image for printing is bad news!
